Jackie Meredyk is an author, fine-art, nature, and documentary photographer based in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Grounded in a creative writing and business background (BA, Case Western Reserve University; MBA, Robert Morris University), her work follows wildlife and wild places, and the people connected to them.
She is the author and photographer of What We Leave Behind, a fine-art book about the objects and memories people leave behind, told in photographs and words. In addition to her fine-art practice, Jackie volunteers her photography for local non-profits.
Her field photography spans iconic national parks—including Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Glacier, and Yellowstone—as well as subarctic wildlife tracking in Churchill, Manitoba. Wild horses are a specialty of hers, and she documents free-roaming herds across the McCullough Peaks, Pryor Mountains, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
