I had never seen a horse in the wild until 2022. It changed me. To witness their independence, social structure, fierceness and beauty, left me in awe. Since then, I have made it a point to travel to locations where there are wild horses. In 2025, my friend Dalenda and I visited three distinct areas where the horses roam free. Like others, I have a concern that their future is endangered due to the varying political landscapes, locally and nationally. This is not a new situation nor is it intended to point fingers or be divisive; it is just something to be aware of. Do your own research and draw your own conclusions. But above all, try to view wild horses at some point in your life. You will not regret it. Until then, enjoy these.
